I quick blogger update. Last week I held my movie fundraiser for the DeMolay youth group and it was very successful. We raised over $400 and had at least 50 people show up for the event. It was really awesome transforming the Troy lodge into a movie theatre. I placed my 11ft diagonal tripod screen in the North of the lodge and sat everyone in the South. My cartoons were very well received as was the feature film. It was definately a great idea for a fund raiser since everyone had a lot of fun and we raised quite a bit of money.

My next big movie showing is going to be in my home. On Saturday, October 22 I am going to be sponsoring the Saturday Night Screening Room. The Saturday Night Screening Room is my movie collectors club. I will be showing my breathtaking 16mm print of "Beetlejuice" for Halloween. You are all welcome and invited, just let me know if you can come.

My other bit of news is that I finally conned my company into sending me on a trip to Zurich. I will be leaving on Friday, October 7th, arriving on the morning of the 8th, and returning on October 13th; the day after my birthday. I expect to be rather jet lagged on Saturday and will probably just explore the city of Zurich. However, I have one full non-jet lagged day free on Sunday and I want to experience the most memorable day trip possible. Perhaps I will go to the Alps, I hear it is a worthwhile thing to do. I will be actually working on Monday through Wednesday, but I hope to enjoy my evenings at least.

In Freemason news I submitted my petition for dual membership in the Napthali lodge and plan to attend regularily. I also want to drag any and all of my Freemason friends to visit this incredible facility while we still can. There is a big youth event sponsored by the Shriners on October 8th which, unfortunately, I will be unable to attend since I will be in Zurich. However, my wife is going to take the kids and I hope they have a great time.

We are putting on a first degree on October the 5th and for the first time I will be performing my duties as junior steward in the lodge. I'm really looking forward to participating directly in the ritual ceremony. I wanted to visit a lodge while I am in Zurich but, unfortanately, there are no meetings going on the same time I will be there. I suppose it will have to wait until the next trip.

That's all the news that I have for today and, I know, its not much but a man has to bump his blog every now and then just to keep things rolling.
