Hmmm...the whacking site didn't accept my whack, even though I'm pretty sure it should have been considered valid. I found out yesterday from a friend that Yahoo offers a really amazing Calendar feature. It even synchronizes with Outlook! You can hide personal appointments and make public other events. I revised my personal calendar with my known events to date. As our very, very, busy summer schedule heats up I'm sure this will get very crowded. I find it extremely useful to keep track of our busy life and help co-ordinate plans with our friends and neighbors. Here is the link to my online calendar . I plan to keep this one going. I also setup and revised a calendar for the Masonic lodges in our area .
I read an article today aboug 'googlewhacking'. So, it took me about 30 minutes to find one. (A Googlewhack is whe you type two words into the google search engine produce only a single result.) Here is what I found: "profundus+lepton" Which comes up with this link. I'm not certain it is necessarily that hard to come up with one. It seems like once you find an obscure web page you can easily find lots more. After finding the previous link I just typed in two words I found on that page: "Bradybibastes+neotropical" and immediately got a fresh Googlewhack. You could probably mine hundreds of google whacks from that one page.

Here are some captures from Keyhole showing, to the best of its resolution, the property we bought in Lake of the Ozarks. On the most zoomed up picture I drew a line to indicate roughly the amount of shoreline we own. The property also goes all of the way up to the top of the hill too. I zoomed out to show all of Lake of the Ozarks to give a relative sense of just how far 'out there' we are. This is a lovely quiet cove and what these pictures can't signify is just how much shoreline it is or how much water there is in the cove.
I was looking for online calendar software today to help organize the many lodge meetings in the general area. At our lodge, Brother Chris carries a paper calendar that is practically a holy relic at this point. There are so many lodge activities going on in the community it is crazy trying to keep track of them all. There were many online calendars to choose from and I had a limited amount of time for research so I finally just picked one that looked half way decent. Here is the calendar I set up for the lodges in our area: Then I figured, what the heck, I would set up my own personal event calendar the same way. This is how my wife and I keep track of everything we have going on to try to prevent scheduling conflicts. It is almost like a blog adjunct because it keeps track of all of the things I have on my plans throughout the year . And, finally, Steph regarding your previous comment. We have a lot of property in the Lake of the Ozarks. Actually two 2.5 acre lots. Enough room
Well, I have a few spare moments to give a quick run down on some things going on in my life. One event is that our good friends and neighbors, Diane and Lenny Brown, are moving away to Michigan. You would recognize them as the incredibly handsome couple in many photographs on this web log. We are kind of sad having such good friends move away but we must temper that with happiness that they are going to have a better life. They are moving closer to family and have a lovely home on a huge lake in Michigan. This event got me thinking about a few things. First was the importance of having good male friendship and a sense of loss that such a great friend was moving away. The second was the realization that the lifestyle they are about to lead is one that Terry and I would enjoy as well. Currently we live in Lake Saint Louis. This is a lake community that gives you just a taste of what the actual lake lifestyle is like. The sad thing is that our lake is little more than an overgrown
