The title of this post is "The $10 Italian Suit". I know I promised myself a new Italian suit when I lost sixty pounds, but today I met a milestone of finally losing twenty. As coincidence would have it, I found an Italian suit at a garage sale for the lordly value of ten bucks.

I decided to take a photo of the suite and post it on the site. However, this just got me thinking about all the photographs I have taken in 2004. I ended up reviewing the photos I have, cropping them, and uploading them to my website.

These photos are without context and have little meaning if you don't know the people in them. However, I *do* know the people in them, and they have meaning for me.

Over the coming weeks I will annotate the photos with comments. I will also deliver on my personal promise of documentation, even if only in bullet fashion, our summer activities.

This evening I am heading out to Phil Steinberg's to watch "Fiddler on the Roof" in his home theatre, as part of the Saturday Night Screening Room event. In October I will be hosting and showing my scope print of "Ghostbusters". Tomorrow I am going hiking in my new weight vest. Joining me will be Alex and my friend David Whatley. We are going to do Castlewood park and attack the 200 stairs that climb the bluff along the Missouri river. I will let you know if I survive the experience.

Today I got color put in my hair for the first time in my life. I thought it was something radical and dramatic. However, my wife didn't even notice at first. She thought I might get tiger stripes or something to copy my friend Brian Sharp, but I am just too old for that sort of thing.

Anywhoo..here is the raw data dump of the pics. These are all thumbnails that link to large pics.

Siggraph

The future of virtual reality? An image from Siggraph 2004.
As a part of a 'team building' exercise, Siggraph invited this group of African drummers and dancers. It was very fun to listen to. I especially like the dancing you see here.
Another action shot of a lovely 'african' dancer.
You gotta be kidding me. Yet one more example of why I completely *hate* LA. In St. Louis this would buy you a six thousand square foot mansion with maid quarters.

Lauren her first time in uniform.
Why are you embarassing me?
If that ain't cute I don't know what is.
Another shot of Lauren in full band uniform holding her mellophone proudly.

Does this look like a 'Desperate Housewife' to you?
Just let me make this one point....
