Unwraveling Eric



I decided a while ago I would lay off on posting about Eric Dubay but, honestly, I cannot completely refrain. I am still subscribed to his blog which fills my newsreader with a daily dose of incoherent and convoluted rambling madness.

In the past few days he has spent untold numbers of hours writing posts about numerology as it relates to 9-11 and what he believes are Masonic conspiracies.

His posts are interesting to read as a raw demonstration of the power of a deranged mind. All you can think as you read it is how can someone find time for such a thing? His three most recent posts demonstrate a kind of obsession that, to be frank, appears to me to be more than slightly pathological.

At one point in the most recent post Eric asks the reader the following question:

"Granted some of this pre 9/11 symbolism could be sheer coincidence and over analyzation, but can you honestly explain away all these synchronicities so simply?"
To which I can only exclaim YES!

What makes himm "degraded?" You are Mason, admittedly enough, you also admit that you practise some weird rituals/and dress-up.

Also, who is say that he is not rational, and that you are?

I have not read in any one of your posts anything that tries to define what, "rationa" is...

How about this for the sake of courtesy - what is RATIONAL is SUBJECTIVE. There is no objective rationality.

I realize that this post is going to cause some Web-Wiplash, but I think that is ok. For years I have held onto some old Planetside screenshots that I wanted to post online some day. Ten Reasons *NOT* to become a Freemason

"Why I became (and proudly remain) an 'antient' Freemason" Well, I see no reason I cannot make a Freemason themed post. Last evening I attended a third degree at Naphtali lodge. It was my candidate being raised, my friend William Bean. It was an incredible night, especially since we had 28 Master Masons present for the event which was held at the incredible Masonic Temple in midtown Saint Louis. My friends Right Worshipful Brother Chris Neubold, Russ Tinker, Densel Webb, and Fred Statler drove down all of the way from Wentzville and Troy; over an hour drive each way. I acted as the Senior Steward and Junior Deacon for the ceremony. This was the largest gathering of Masons we have had in as long as anyone could remember for a degree. I decided to make a post this evening based on an analysis of blog track-backs to this site. Over the past month or so I get a significant amount of traffic every day from people who type in any one of the following search phrases: "How to become a Freemason" "Why become a Freemason" "Why not to become a Freemason" I suppose this blog has been around long enough that it is slowly moving up the search rankings on Google.
